Marker 1

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Graduation from High School is desirable
  • Previous related experience is desirable
  • Candidates must be able to able to perform physical work and lift and carry 50 pounds

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
  • Ability to understand oral and written directions
  • Ability to perform simple math relating to inventory
  • Ability to get along well with others
Marker 2

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Graduation from High School or equivalent education
  • Completion of an approved custodial training course or 1 year of paid custodial experience
  • Candidates must be able to perform physical work and lift and carry 100 pounds

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
  • Knowledge of general grounds maintenance practices
  • Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in this field    
  • Ability to understand oral and written directions
  • Ability to perform simple math relating to inventory
  • Ability to get along well with others
Marker 3

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Graduation from High School or equivalent education
  • One year of custodial/building maintenance experience working without direct supervision or experience supervising others in cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds.
  • Able to perform physical work and lift heavy equipment

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
  • Knowledge of general grounds maintenance practices
  • Knowledge of job-related ordinances and regulations
  • Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in this field    
  • Ability to make calculations to determine work schedules
  • Ability to accurately maintain records and compile reports
  • Ability to get along well with others
  • Ability to use a computer
Marker 4
