School-Based Custodial Pathway
Promote from a custodial position to a supervisory position in which you oversee the cleaning and maintenance of a school.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from High School is desirable
- Previous related experience is desirable
- Candidates must be able to able to perform physical work and lift and carry 50 pounds
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
- Ability to understand oral and written directions
- Ability to perform simple math relating to inventory
- Ability to get along well with others
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from High School is desirable
- Previous related experience is desirable
- Candidates must be able to perform physical work and lift and carry 100 pounds
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
- Knowledge of general grounds maintenance practices
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in this field
- Ability to understand oral and written directions
- Ability to perform simple math relating to inventory
- Ability to get along well with others
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from High School or equivalent education
- One year of custodial/building maintenance experience working without direct supervision or experience supervising others in cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds.
- Able to perform physical work and lift heavy equipment
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
- Knowledge of general grounds maintenance practices
- Knowledge of job-related ordinances and regulations
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in this field
- Ability to make calculations to determine work schedules
- Ability to accurately maintain records and compile reports
- Ability to get along well with others
- Ability to use a computer
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from High School or equivalent education
- One to four years of custodial/building maintenance experience as indicate below:
PM I: One year of experience
PMII: Two years of experience including one year of supervisory experience
PMIII: Three years of experience including two years of supervisory experience as a PMII or above
PMIV: Four years of experience including two years of supervisory experience as a PM II/III or above
- Able to perform physical work and lift heavy equipment
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
- Knowledge of general grounds maintenance practices
- Knowledge of job-related ordinances and regulations
- Knowledge of principles of supervision
- Ability to supervise others
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in this field
- Ability to make calculations to determine work schedules

- Ability to use a computer
