School-Based Financial Pathway
Start your career supporting the finances at a school and consider promoting into other positions within our Accounting or Budget Services departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from College/University-qualifying experience may substitute for the education requirement as long as requirement to pass college-level course in accounting is met
- Successful completion of college-level courses in introductory principles of financial accounting, managerial accounting, or equivalent
- One year of experience as an adult assistant employee in a student body finance office, or one year of professional accounting, bookkeeping, or technical-clerical accounting experience.
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of Accounting, Budget, & Payroll Practices
- Knowledge of Office Procedures
- Proficient with Office Technology
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to Effectively Supervise Students
- Strong Interpersonal Skills – able to work well with others
- Strong Analytical/Problem Solving Skills
