A supervisor not only needs to be knowledgeable about the work performed by her or his staff, but also must be skilled in managing and motivating people. This course offers an introduction to the role of the supervisor and provides participants with a broad understanding of what it takes to be a good supervisor.

Additionally, this course discusses the essential need for supervisors to successfully orient new employees, as effectively integrating new employees assists with retention, motivation, job satisfaction, and it quickly enables each individual to become a contributing member of the team!
