- Special EducationTraineeREQUIREMENTS:
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Completion of at least 48 semester units or 72 quarter units from a recognized college or university OR Receipt of a passing score on the District Proficiency Test and the Instructional Assistance Test
- 600 hours of paid experience or verifiable supervised volunteer experience providing physical or instructional assistance to disabled individuals in a school, pre-school, hospital, or other education program, or 600 hours of verifiable experience as a student teacher in a school for disabled students
- New hires that do not have the experience may be hired as a substitute employee until they gain the required experience, at which point they can move into regular status.
- Knowledge of the physical and emotional needs of children at various age levels
- Familiarity with the general nature and causes of physical, mental, and emotional disabilities
- Familiarity with the functioning of special equipment, such as wheel chairs and braces
- Familiarity with First Aid techniques
- Ability to relate and work well with students and with others
- Ability to act calmly and appropriately in emergencies
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to assist in feeding and toileting of students with special needs
- Sufficient strength to safely lift and carry objects or assist in lifting students of varying weights

REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from High School or equivalent education
- Completion of an approved custodial training course or 1 year of paid custodial experience
- Candidates must be able to perform physical work and lift and carry 100 pounds
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
- Knowledge of general grounds maintenance practices
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in this field
- Ability to understand oral and written directions
- Ability to perform simple math relating to inventory
- Ability to get along well with others
- Health Care Assistant
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from High School or equivalent education
- One year of custodial/building maintenance experience working without direct supervision or experience supervising others in cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds.
- Able to perform physical work and lift heavy equipment
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of custodial practices and cleaning materials
- Knowledge of general grounds maintenance practices
- Knowledge of job-related ordinances and regulations
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in this field
- Ability to make calculations to determine work schedules
- Ability to accurately maintain records and compile reports
- Ability to get along well with others
- Ability to use a computer
- Supervising SpecialEducation Assistant
